I have a passion for Health and Social Care and helping others live the best life they can. My particular interests are in helping people to regain independence but I also receive great satisfaction from helping those that have reached their baseline, find their new normal and find peace while finding confidence in their new situations. I have over 15 years experience in health and Social Care. I started as a community Based Care worker supporting individuals in their own homes to manage their day to day needs in accordance with their support plans and then progressed into Care Assistant post for the NHS in a Hematology and Isolation ward with some A& E working also. From this I transitioned into a rehabilitation role for Surrey County Council Adult Social Care in 2010. From this position, I worked my way up to become an Assistant Social Worker in 2012. In 2014 I became a Senior Social Care Assistant before then broadening my knowledge while remaining in the Social Care Team to become an Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant which is my current post which I LOVE! My ultimate joy in life is finding a way to help others find the positives in their own lives and achieve meaningful occupation in a way that matters to them.
