Dr.Sivaprasad Parnam, DPT,Dip.Osteopractic,Cert.SMT,Cert.DN,CCI,CSRS,Cert.MSKUS. Dr. Siva Parnam is a Physical Therapist and a Osteopractor. He owned an outpatient physical therapy practice for 10 years in West Lafayette, Indiana and relocated to Cary in 2021 and started Shiva Physical Therapy to give the best quality of care for the community. He received his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University in India in 2002 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Dominican College of Blauvelt in New York. He earned a post-graduate Diploma in Osteopractic through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and received certifications in Spinal Manipulation, Dry Needling, Instrument-Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization, Cranio-Sacral therapy, Muscle energy tech., Extremity Manipulation, Neuromuscular & Myofascial Release, and Myofascial Decompression (cupping). He is also a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist, Credentialed Clinical Instructor, Certified in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging, and Certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Dr. Parnam also has advanced, post-graduate training from The Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in osteopathic and other manual medicine techniques derived from osteopathic concepts designed to discover and treat restrictions throughout the body. He holds lifelong learning in high regard and believes in the body's natural healing and corrective abilities. His philosophy is that the body has a natural tendency to strive toward a state of health and wellness for that there are barriers to the body's ability to reach that state. He works at discovering and helping the patients to facilitate healing towards that goal of health and recovery by implementing an evidence-based treatment model with cutting edge treatment modalities and a truly hands-on focused approach that positively impacts the nervous, vascular, musculoskeletal systems. He specializes in orthopedic and sports injuries with a particular interest in spine disorders. Dr.Parnam and his wife, Sujatha, have a daughter and twin sons .
