I qualified as a Physiotherapist from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 and began my career in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Dublin. This was followed by a year travelling, where I had the opportunity to work as a Physiotherapist in Christchurch, New Zealand. , On my return to Ireland, I specialised in Paediatrics and worked at the Central Remedial Clinic(CRC), Dublin. I received excellent training and support during my years there and gained experience in all aspects of child development and treatment. , Family commitments then took me to Manchester, England. I worked initially in “The School for the Deaf”, a school for children with hearing impairment, who also had a physical and/or intellectual disability. Many of the children were on the Autistic Spectrum. Treatments were both land and water (hydrotherapy) based. , I then worked for Manchester Primary Care Trust, a community based service, treating children at home and in schools and nurseries across Manchester. The city-wide service provides physiotherapy assessment and treatment to children from birth to 18 with neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal conditions. I spent 8 very happy years working with this excellent team of specialist paediatric therapists. Regular training and support gave me invaluable experience assessing and treating a wide range of conditions. , Finally I came home again to Ireland, where we settled with our 2 young children in Skerries, Co. Dublin. I set up in Private Practice(Physio4kids.ie). , At this time decided to retrain in Women's Health. It was an area that always interested me and I was ready for a new challenge in my career. I now enjoy a varied caseload of both Paediatrics and Women's health. , If I can offer any help or advice to you, please feel free to get in contact. ,
