Mr Simon Fogerty is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon working for The Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. He also has private practices at The Spire Elland Hospital and the BMI Huddersfield Hospital. He provides consultations and treatments on trauma, shoulder and elbow conditions. He also provides a patient-centric approach towards treating his patients with the highest level of quality and care. Mr Fogerty qualified from Sheffield University Medical School in 2001, which is where he also completed his higher surgical training. Following this, he moved to West Yorkshire (Leeds) and undertook a Yorkshire Orthopaedic Higher Surgical Training Programme. During this, he completed a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. This allows him to gain a better understanding in the benefits of exercise and applying the best treatments for athletes. Towards the end of his orthopaedic training, he completed a 12 month fellowship under the supervision of the renowned surgeon Dr Laurent Lafosse. This provided Mr Fogerty with a good understanding of arthroscopy and the latest techniques to treat the shoulder and elbow. Mr Fogerty is an expert in arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery and shoulder instability, with a good understanding of the Latarjet procedure (coracoid transfer). He also provides treatments for tennis elbow and ulnar nerve entrapment.
