I am a full professor of psychiatry at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia My current clinical attachment is with Azienda USL-IRCSS of Reggio Emilia where I am the Director of the Department of Mental Health and Drug Abuse, which provides mental health services to a population of approximately half a million people. I teach psychiatry to undergraduate students in Medicine and in the degrees of Technician of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Nursing, Dietician I am also the Director of the School of Specialization in Psychiatry of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. I have experience in living and working as a psychiatrist in various clinical settings and different Countries (Koeln, Melbourne, London) which has been a very stimulating experience. My main clinical expertise is in community psychiatry, psychiatric rehabilitation, consultation liaison psychiatry. I am trained and have a special interest in Mentalization Based Therapy, My main research interests are in social and community psychiatry, psychiatric epidemiology and consultation liaison psychiatry.
