Mr Shobhit Verma is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in paediatric orthopaedics and trauma, including paediatric and adult fractures, sports injuries, young adult and paediatric lower limb issues, knee instability, hyper mobility injuries, foot/ankle problems (clubfoot) and the orthopaedic management of children with disability. Mr Verma is the only consultant to offer orthopaedic paediatric services to Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and is based at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust where he is Clinical Lead for Trauma & Orthopaedics at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital site. Mr Verma runs his private practices at Bedford, Luton, Harrow, Hatfield and Redbridge. Mr Verma qualified as a doctor in 1998, and went on to undertake and complete his training in advanced adult and paediatric sports injuries and trauma, within the UK and Australia. He also gained fellowships in trauma and limb reconstruction, as well as fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Trauma. Since his appointment as Consultant, Mr Verma has based his practice on evidence based medicine, and actively engages with is patients for their input on clinical decisions. Mr Verma is also active in the scientific research and teaching community, teaching various courses at London hospitals and also authoring several peer reviewed publications.
