Dr. Shobha Topgi, M.D. is a retina specialist and cataract surgeon at the Nielsen Eye Center. Dr. Topgi specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous. She is skilled at treating and managing diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal inflammatory diseases. She performs cataract surgery with the latest technologies and advanced techniques. Dr. Topgi graduated from Miami University of Ohio and received her medical degree from Rush Medical College at Rush University in Chicago. She completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate University in New York City. She did her fellowship training in medical retina at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Florida.
