I have been working as an occupational therapist for over 20 years with 18 years experience in neurological rehabilitation. I have worked in acute hospitals, in-patient rehabilitation units, residential homes and community settings. I have experience of working with people with a range of progressive and non progressive neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury. I have also worked extensively with older people who have multiple pathologies. Since April 2013 I have been working as an independent OT. I take direct referrals for occupational therapy assessments and rehabilitation. I am a trainer for the Disabled Living Foundation on their Trusted Assessor 2 day training course. I carry out medico legal assessments through Somek and Associates. I am registered with HCPC. I am a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and also belong to the independent practice and neurological practice special interest groups.
