Dr Shekha Bhuva is a Specialist Periodontist based in London, qualifying from Guys Kings and St Thomas Dental hospital. In her time, Dr Bhuva has trained in a broad range of dental specialities, including in Oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Surrey Guildford and Restorative Dentistry at Birmingham Dental Hospital. Dr Bhuva specializes in Periodontology, completing her 4-year MClinDent specialist program with a distinction. She works as a specialist periodontist for several practices including private practices such as at Harley Street clinic, Dr Bhuva has worked at the prestigious Eastman Dental hospital at UCLH, London. She is committed to her work, which consists of diagnosing and treating a wide range of periodontal conditions, placing and restoring dental implants and non-surgical and surgical dental treatments; such as bone regeneration, mucogingival work, and implant dentistry. Other than clinical work, Dr Bhuva is a lecturer on postgraduate revision courses for the overseas registration examination and an examiner for the MJDF examinations. She is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is also on the Council for the British Society of Periodontology. In her free time, she has provided dental care in orphanages and villages in Vietnam and Nepal and has been actively involved in SmileHigh , a dental charity providing dental care to the most remote Himalayan villages.
