Dr. Shih is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. As a board-certified dermatologist, he is passionate about all aspects of medical dermatology, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa, and skin cancer. He has special interests in cosmetic dermatology for all skin types. He often utilizes combination treatment using neuromodulator, filler, chemical peel, subcision, and laser for a variety of indications, including scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and facial rejuvenation, striving to deliver beautiful and natural results. Dr. Shih received his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley. He then completed his medical degree at University of Central Florida, College of Medicine. He completed an internship at his home program in Orlando, Florida prior to dermatology residency at Boston University, where he trained with world experts in hair loss and skin of color. He was the recipient of the prestigious Skin of Color Society Research Award. Dr. Shih has authored book chapters and manuscripts in top peer-reviewed dermatology journals. He is an active member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Shih grew up in Taiwan and is a native speaker of Mandarin. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, dancing, playing piano, and singing karaoke.
