Dr. Shawanda Renee Obey is an award-winning board-certified OB/GYN in Rancho Cucamonga. She has 20 years of experience and is a thought leader in her field. Dr. Obey graduated with her Medical Doctorate in 2000 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her OB/GYN residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit Michigan in 2004. It was during residency that her passion for advocating for equity in healthcare was born. Dr. Obey has interests in the public health sector and is an MPH candidate at The George Washington University, located in Washington D.C. Her public health interests include community health and advocacy, health disparities, and health policy. Dr. Obey specializes in both high-risk and low-risk obstetrics and invasive, minimally invasive GYN surgery. Dr. Obey also takes a holistic approach to medicine and offers functional and integrative medicine, nutrition counseling, weight loss and much more.
