I have been a nurse since 1994; working in Labor and Delivery. I married into the military, and we traveled wherever the Marine Corps took us. We moved to Washington in 1997 and entered civilian life in 2001. Eventually, I got bored and took a chemistry class at the local community college…for fun. It was then I remembered my love for learning. My children were in high school and independent, so I returned to school. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Washington State University. I then decided to go on and get a master’s degree in Business. I did not find business as fulfilling as nursing so, I went back to patient care and then to Georgetown for my Family Nurse Practitioner training. It was the best choice ever. I enjoy knowing my patients and their families. So many of my friends started as my patient. I am now living in Oregon. I am practicing telemedicine in Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Washington. My journey as a nurse has been very rewarding.
