Dr Hoque completed a BSc in Pharmacology at University College London with First Class Honours, prior to studying medicine. She completed her MBBS at the Barts and The Royal London Hospital Medical College and graduated in 1996 with a distinction in Medical Ethics. Her general medical training was mainly at Barts and The Royal London Hospital during which time she completed her MRCP ( UK ) and then started her Dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. She then began her Specialist Dermatology training at St George’s Hospital. She was appointed as a Consultant at University Hospital Lewisham in 2007. She is currently the Clinical Lead for Dermatology at Lewisham Hospital and previously Skin Cancer Lead. She is also the Research Lead for Dermatology at Lewisham and Educational and Clinical supervisor to Dermatology Specialist Registrars at Lewisham. She was appointed Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians ( London ) in 2015. She is a Member of the British Association of Dermatologists, The Royal Society of Medicine and the British Medical Association. She is actively involved teaching and training and has presented regularly at GP meetings and Educational Days for medical trainees. Her main interests are Skin Cancer, General Dermatology including acne, psoriasis, eczema and Paediatric Dermatology. She has performed audits and published articles in these areas of interest.
