I am now currently in a Band 5 to Band 6 Occupational Therapy development role with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in one of their Specialist Older Adult Mental Health teams in HWLH. I am supporting older adults with dementia and other functional mental health issues. My first job as a registered Occupational Therapist was a rotational post at East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust between Sept 2021 - Oct 2022. My first rotation was in the elective orthopaedics + surgical team, with some experience in medical and trauma cases. My 2nd rotation was at the incredible Bexhill Irvine Unit with the stroke rehab team. I am currently HCPC registered and a member of RCOT. I gained my MSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of Brighton - first class honours (2019-2021). I have a passion for supporting those with dementia since my roles as a dementia research assistant and a dementia HCA and I’m so happy to have returned to a community role with older adults and can use my physical clinical skills to support them. Previous experience I have worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Dementia Studies for almost 3 years, working on projects that focus on dementia and autism at BSMS. I also have a BSc Hons in Psychology with Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Plymouth (2013-2016).
