Highly-skilled spinal surgeon specialising in complex spinal surgery with a special interest in scoliosis. Through his expertise in spinal navigation and robotics, he aims to achieve the best possible results while making complex spinal surgery safer with minimally invasive surgery. He works in a multidisciplinary environment. He qualified at St George’s University of London in 1995. His spent a year at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, United States undertaking an orthopaedic fellowship. In addition to this, he did an MSc in orthopaedic Engineering qualifying from Cardiff University. Prior to becoming a spinal surgeon he had a successful career as a chiropractor resulting in him being well placed in understanding the relationship between conservative management and surgical solutions for spinal conditions. Mr Molloy became consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon in 2005 and was appointed to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in Stanmore where he has been a consultant since, gaining extensive experience in complex paediatric and adult spinal deformity surgery. He has published extensively in the world’s premier spinal journals and is a frequent invited speaker both nationally and internationally. He is in the top 7 percentile researchers on Research Gate. Mr Molloy has been awarded the title of Visiting Professor from a very respected Chinese University, Fujian Medical University.
