I am passionate about developing the roles of Pharmacy Technicians and giving them the opportunity to shine. I currently work as Chief Pharmacy Technician at Lancashire Care and am thankful for the value and trust the organisation puts in its employees. I have undertaken the CODEG framework for Medicine Management Technicians with all the team and have utilised it to showcase what fantastic work we do in Pharmacy. Each technician has their own strengths and characteristics that they bring to the role and understanding those and celebrating them is the key to a motivated workforce. Whilst the NHS is currently under great pressure it is an opportunity to look at the skill mix within our service and take the chance to develop roles and increase responsibilities. I couldn’t imagine doing any other job - I get great satisfaction from working in such a strong team and value the support offered by Pharmacists, Technicians, Assistants and Apprentices. We are all key stakeholders in driving patient care to be the best it can be.
