Mr Sanjeev L Chitnis Trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK, and then worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon In Riyadh,Sudi Arabia. He did complex Hand Trauma In Saudi Arabia, including Hand Replantations. He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Glasgow since 1996. He specialises in Orthopaedic Surgery, mainly the surgery of Knee and Hand, as well as upper limb services. Mr Chitnis qualified in Medicine in 1978 from the University of Delhi, before undertaking his postgraduate medical training in the North of England and London. He has held memberships with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburghsince 1985. Prior to this he did LRCP and MRCS from London Royal Colleges. He provides higher surgical training and is also an examiner for the orthopaedic examinations. He has a particular interest on hand and knee surgery, more specifically on Dupuytrens disease, finger joint replacements, cartilage damage, knee replacement, knee cartilage transplantation, carpal tunnel and trigger finger release and wrist arthroscopy, to name a few.Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsI treat patients with back, hip and shoulder problems but I do not operate on them.
