She was past President of SRD Straightening Reins, a nonprofit that specializes in equine-assisted and interactive therapies designed to improve adolescent and teen mental health and well-being. She is currently serving as a Board Advisor for SRD. Sandy is also the current President of NAHREP Santa Clarita, another local nonprofit that champions sustainable homeownership. Her Chapter provides community outreach, industry educational and business networking events for the real estate professionals. They have two children; Adam who is a Social Worker, and Alina, who attends College of the Canyons where she is studying to be a Registered Nurse.
