Sandra completed 5 years as clinical lead for City & Hackney Mental Health Care for older people in 2014. She has demitted from her role Associate Dean for Psychiatry at ELFT after 8 successful years leading on medical student teaching as Director of Undergraduate Education. She remains Deputy Dean for Students at Barts & the London School for Medicine & Dentistry in a Pastoral role. Sandra is a GMC associate; assessing and supervising doctors. As Chair of the Older Adults Section of the APP (Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS), she stands for equal care for older people, including the psychological therapies. She is an advocate for parity of esteem for mental health with physical health. She is a member of the NICE Dementia Guideline Committee.
