I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with 8 years of experience. I have worked with individuals at every stage of their addiction, including clients having difficulty recognizing they have a problem, knowing they have a problem but being unsure if they want to do something about it, actively making steps towards recovery, and being in recovery. I also have experience working with clients that use substances to cope with their anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and life changes (such as becoming a new parent, getting a new job, and losing a loved one).During our sessions together we will focus on substance use and mental health concerns that are causing you/ your child difficulty in areas of your life. Treatment modalities such as CBT, REBT, MI, and Smart Recovery will be utilized within the sessions. In certain circumstances family members may be able to join to assist in the collaboration and support.I recognize that beginning/ resuming psychotherapy is a deeply personal choice that is often met with complicated and at times conflicting emotions. No individual is the same and therefore no one's journey to recovery is identical. I work to create an alliance that is built on trust and collaboration, where my clients feel heard, understood, and feel safe.
