Hi, I am Sameeha Jabbar, and I am excited to meet you here. I know what it’s like to experience, trauma, and grief, to live upon auto-pilot, to put others’ needs and happiness first, and to constantly live with self-doubt and insecurities. YOU own your story!! And remember, ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I love working with young adults, teens, families, and older adults to help alleviate their anxieties, trauma, hidden fears, and insecurities. I have been a social worker for 7 years and I absolutely love what I do as a clinician and therapist. I have worked in crisis for 6 years, and I have helped diverse clients to de-escalate, find hope and overcome their anxieties and fears. As an immigrant, mother, and working woman I am able to help clients overcome their anxieties, insecurities, fears, and many challenges that immigrant women experience. I believe that women deserve to be expressive, sensitive, angry, messy, career-oriented, respected, and loved for who they are as a person. I have worked with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities as a behavior therapist and assisted their families in parent consultation sessions. I work with children, teens, young adults, and older adults to help them overcome their feelings of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. I utilize a variety of modalities such as CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, CBT, and DBT, stress management, applied behavior analysis, mindfulness, and play therapy. are a few modalities I use in my clinical practice. When you come to therapy to express your vulnerabilities and fears without any judgment. I will help you build skills that will enable you to identify your triggers, and barriers and will focus on your strengths. I will always start from where you are. I believe that I lived and work experiences have enabled me to work with clients from diverse populations across the globe.
