I have worked as an Occupational Therapist for 20 years in the South East of Essex, working for both hospital and community teams in both the NHS and the private sector. My experience and specialist interests are working with adults with Brain Injury, Stroke Rehabilitation and General Community Rehabilitation/Reablement. Working as part of Reclaim Mobility, where we have a Multi-Disciplinary Team of professionals including myself, Physiotherapists, a Psychologist and a Rehabilitation Assistant, we can provide you, your loved ones, or your clients with the tailored support they need. We take referrals from either clients, residential care homes or Case Managers. We cover South East and Mid Essex. Examples of therapy/support I can offer are (but not exclusive to): - Fatigue management - Equipment advice - Falls management - Cognitive rehabilitation - Upper limb rehabilitation - Support for carers - Relaxation/mindfulness - And much, much more... As well as these more common areas of interest, I am an advocate of Sustainability and am keen to work on health related projects around sustainabilty with specialist interests within Menstrual Health education; and have already run a project called Love Your Flow (https://en-form.org.uk/love-your-flow/) for an Essex-based environmental charity from 2022-2023. This project allowed me to support young people from the age of 8 to adults, including menstruating and non-menstruating people, and a large majority of my presentations were provided to health professionals keen to know the implications of our traditional menstrual products. Please get in touch at sam@reclaimmobility.co.uk if you have any queries or projects you would like to discuss with me.
