Mr Saket Tibrewal is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in knee problems. He has a high volume clinical practice covering all aspects of knee surgery and sports injuries. This includes partial and total knee replacement, cartilage repair and regeneration, as well as knee ligament reconstruction. He always strives to provide the same high level of care to every patient he treats. By offering a comprehensive specialist knee service, he can customise each treatment plan to meet the specific needs and goals of each patient. In this way, all of his patients receive personalised care with the aim of returning them to full function as soon as possible. Mr Tibrewal has received advanced training at some of the most renowned and reputable institutions in the world (Sydney, Melbourne and Oxford), and has been working as an NHS consultant since 2016. He studied in Oxford and London before going on to medical school at the Royal Free and University College Medical School (UCL) in London. In 2011, he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons after completing specialist orthopaedic training on the highly respected Percivall Pott Rotation in London. He obtained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Surgical Training in 2014, following which he embarked on international sub-specialist training. This included spending six months with Dr David Dickison in Sydney, Australia, training in all aspects of knee surgery and gaining expertise in the use of computer navigation. He then spent a year in Melbourne, Australia, where he trained in complex knee & hip arthroplasty and trauma reconstruction. Finally, he returned to England to spend another year focusing purely on knee surgery at the world renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford - gaining expert knowledge of unicompartmental (partial) knee replacements during this time. In recognition of his dedication to the field, Mr Tibrewal has been awarded the BOTA-IOSUK Travelling Fellowship (Ganga Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital, India), the AO International Trauma Fellowship (Sunnybrook Hospital, Canada), the EFORT Travelling Fellowship (HUG, Switzerland), the HCA Foundation Scholarship (Melbourne), and finally, the BOA Travelling Fellowship (Endoklink, Germany). This has allowed him to continue his education and training at some of the worlds most prestigious institutions. In 2022 he was honoured to be one of only two surgeons selected for the prestigious ESSKA-SLARD fellowship in recognition of his expertise in Knee surgery. He visited the best hospitals and knee specialists in South America and was able to share his knowledge and experience.
