Since 2002, when Dr. Rudy Gehrman established The Heights Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Clinic in Brooklyn, New York, he has become one of the most sought after and well-respected integrated and sports medicine chiropractors in the United States. In 2009, he founded Physio Logic and combined his talent and expertise with a multidisciplinary team of devoted practitioners. This integrated model strives to treat patients holistically with a team-based approach. It was Dr. Gehrman’s own experience with injuries and rehab while competing in collegiate hockey, football, downhill skiing, mountain biking, weight lifting, skateboarding and endurance races that inspired him to pursue a degree in Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College, following an undergraduate degree in pre-med biology. Dr. Gehrman has a keen, first-hand knowledge of the body at work, including nutrition and recovery, and understands the paths to pain-free function, flexibility and strength. Over the years, he has expanded his skills and experience treating a wide range of sports injuries affecting all from the active senior to the adolescent athlete, including professional athletes from a variety of sports (NBA, NFL, NHL, MMA, PSA, PGA, professional endurance athletes, extreme sports skiers, skateboarders, BMX, professional powerlifters and bodybuilders). Dr. Gehrman not only practices traditional manipulations and mobilizations but also utilizes several soft tissue techniques during treatment: Active Release Technique (ART), instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and sports medical massage. Dr. Gehrman’s passion for holistic care for his patients has led him to travel the world in search for the most current and innovative treatments for his practice. The Physio Logic Functional Medicine team uses advanced diagnostic testing, including blood, stool, and genetics, to get to the root cause of a patient’s health issue.
