My Occupational Therapy career began whilst working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in haematology and oncology inpatient wards at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals. After 18 months there I gained a job promotion within Northumbria Healthcare as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor working within the hospital and the community. During this time I found my passion, and knew I wanted to undertake my Occupational Therapy training. I secured a place on the Occupational Therapy masters at Northumbria University. Over the past two years I have been completing my degree full time, and working part time on the staff bank at Northumbria Healthcare as a technical instructor. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in January 2020 and was lucky enough to secure my first rotational post at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals by the end of January!
