He worked in the United Kingdom for nearly 15 years and has over 12 years of experience in psychiatry in the UK. He has extensive experience in General Adult psychiatry and De-addiction psychiatry, besides child, forensic psychiatry, perinatal and old age psychiatry. His qualifiaction are: Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych, London), Masters of Medical Sciences in Clinical Psychiatry (MMedSc, University of Nottingham), and Certificate of Completion of Higher Specialist Training (CCST) in General Adult Psychiatry with specialist endorsement in Substance Misuse (addiction) Psychiatry. He has received Clinical Excellence Award from the National Health Service (NHS, UK) in recognition of the high quality of his work. He has formal psychotherapy training and experience.
