Rocky served as the Director of Talent Acquisition/Retention for The Methodist Hospital System, Houston, Texas, a comprehensive healthcare network of 4 hospitals. In this role, he served as the Human Resources leader providing leadership and guidance for the recruitment staff, processes, and outcomes that determined and drove success in the recruitment/retention efforts. His unique ability in being able to “think out of the box” eliminated 100% of all contract agency and travel from the hospital within 5 months, resulting in a 5% vacancy, and a $6M annual savings to the organization. For 24 years, he held multiple positions with The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) - Galveston, Texas. His latest position with UTMB was as Manager, Nurse Recruitment. In this role, he oversaw all recruitment operations for the Nurse Recruitment department. He was integral in the initiation, development and management of recruitment the recruitment processes.
