I'm a funded PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, researching psychosis and altered states of consciousness, meaning-making and therapeutic communities/ compassionate psychiatric alternatives, from an anthropological and mad studies lens. I'm also an award-winning documentary filmmaker and published writer both in nonfiction (Psyche Magazine, Mad In America, The Polyphony) and fiction (Orca Literary Journal, Marrow Magazine).
