Dr. Zbeda is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery. He treats all conditions of the upper extremity including fractures, tendon/ligamentous injuries, sports-related injuries, peripheral nerve conditions and arthritis. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Zbeda was born and raised in New York City and attended The Dalton School. He graduated from Dartmouth College with honors and a degree in History. He then pursued a year of clinical research at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Zbeda obtained his Medical Degree from New York Medical College and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and earned numerous academic awards. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and served as chief resident. During his residency, he trained at world-renown centers including Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, MA), Memorial Sloan Kettering (New York, NY), and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (Baltimore, MD). Dr. Zbeda completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in Melbourne, Australia. He also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Zbeda is actively involved in research and has published multiple textbook chapters and peer-reviewed publications. He has also presented research at local and national meetings and has won multiple awards.
