When I was 7 years old (pre-internet era) I remember someone drove from another town to my house asking me to fix their fax machine. I remember not having a clue about how to yet alone why he came all that way to me, but I said ok. What’s even crazier, somehow I managed to fix it... But what I remember most was the feeling I received when I gave it back to man... I was hooked… Ever since then I loved solving problems, and I believe it is having that solution-orientated mindset that gives me an edge in everything I do, from my career to everyday life. In my current role as Prescribing Data Analyst, I don’t just analyze data, I create solutions for problems that others have, may it be to capture information (for example creating a web application to collect prescribing project information and report on our progress across all our local GP practices) simply because analyzing 43 sets of spreadsheets on a monthly basis to compile a single report didn’t seem like a good solution to me) or simply creating a spreadsheet that automatically analyses the data for someone who spends hours trying to do that. Back in my mid-teen years, I remember a long time feeling lost and stuck not knowing what or how I wanted to live my life, in retrospect they are things I know that I wish I knew then that could save decades off my life, that is why I feel so strongly about creating life solutions to help those of us that feel stuck in our life.
