Lead Pharmacist in Critical Care at University College London Hospitals. Having worked in critical care since 2000. Honorary Associate Professor at UCL School of Pharmacy. In 2021 had a secondment to the Nightingale Excel Hospital, as the Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager for the ICU, setting up a clinical pharmacy service in two weeks from scratch. My doctorate was awarded at King’s University in 2006 and I was awarded a Faculty Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2013 and was designated a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2016. I have published a number of peer-reviewed papers in the fields of insulin therapy, drug errors, corticosteroids, pharmacy professional development, antibiotics, selective decontamination of the digestive tract; and several books, the latest of which is the Handbook of Drugs in Intensive Care. 6th Edition; 2019. I was a committee member of the UK Clinical Pharmacists Association Critical Care Group for several years. Recently set up a course to teach foundation level critical care clinical pharmacy practice to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from around the world.
