Dr. Rutvij Patel is a therapeutic optometrist who completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University, where he received a degree in Human Biology. He then earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2018. Dr. Patel completed his externship rotations at Aker-Kasten Eye Institute in Boca Raton, FL and Center for Sight in Pensacola, FL. Upon graduation, he served as a center leader and clinical optometrist for a refractive surgery practice in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Patel has extensive experience in pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care in cataract and refractive surgery patients. His interests include ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Patel is a native of North Carolina, but now calls Austin home with his wife. He enjoys traveling, playing tennis, trying new restaurants and coffee.
