With over 12 years of experience in the pharmacy sector, I am a passionate and driven leader who strives to deliver innovative and effective solutions for medicine supply and management. I have a master's degree in pharmacy and a strong background in pharmacy management, supply strategy, and team leadership. I currently work as the Unlicensed Medicines Lead UK at Uniphar Group, a leading provider of integrated healthcare services across the world. In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing the sourcing, procurement, and distribution of unlicensed medicines for the UK market, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and managing relationships with suppliers and customers. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve medicine supply issues, and provide guidance and support to the Uniphar team on unlicensed medicine queries. Previously, I worked as the Director of Pharmacy at Medipharmacy Group, where I led the implementation of various pharmacy automation and innovation projects, such as the Synmed Ultra robot and the Centred Solutions original pack dispensing robot. I also developed and trained non-pharmacist managers, and coordinated the Covid vaccination sites for the group. Before that, I worked as the Senior Pharmacist- Medicine Supply at the Department of Health and Social Care, where I managed medicine shortages and discontinuations, and worked with NHSE/I, clinical specialists, and patient groups to communicate and advise on medicine supply issues.
