I am a senior lecturer in public health at the University of Sheffield and have over twenty years experience as a pharmacist in a range of community settings. Academically, my research interests include medical sociology, ethics, medicines supply and abuse, prescribing, and the use of technology in healthcare and I have published widely in these areas. I have recently undertaken a qualitative study of over-the-counter medicine abuse and a pilot study scoping the scale of medicine abuse in community pharmacies. When not doing any of the aforementioned, I cycle, and play football and guitar...both badly!
