I have been working as a consultant ophthalmologist since 2002 with particular interests in paediatric ophthalmology, paediatric cataract, strabismus, nystagmus and neuro-ophthalmology (paediatric and adult) and cerebral visual impairment. In addition to high volume clinical practice I am actively involved in teaching and training. I am fellowship director for the Great Ormond Street Ophthalmology Department and an honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Child Health. Having worked for many years in Africa, I gained experience in high volume surgery and I maintain a strong interest in training and service delivery in the developing world. I am a part time senior lecturer at the International Centre for Eye Health. I am active in clinical research and have published nearly 60 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and speak regularly at international meetings. I see private patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and in Harley Street. I operate private patients at GOSH, the Wellington and Holly House Hospitals.
