Dr Rhodri David is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has worked in both the NHS and private sector. He qualified from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2004. He also holds a BSc in Psychology from King's College London, a Master's degree in Medical Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Law. He is an Approved Clinician and is recognised under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act as having specific expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems. In addition, he has expertise in assessing and managing a wide variety of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, bipolar affective disorder, depression, OCD, mania, perinatal mental health, personality disorder, and psychosis. Dr David completed his psychiatric training predominantly in London while also working in Bristol. He has worked across a breadth of mental health services, including crisis, community, inpatient, substance misuse, and criminal justice settings. He has worked in women's mental health services for several years, including Perinatal settings. He currently works in an inpatient setting for both men and women in the NHS. He has a keen interest in Medical Education and Information Technology. Dr David has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2013 and has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2009. He holds a Clinical Senior Lecturer post at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Dr David originally hails from West Wales and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
