With over 10 years of experience in nursing and functional medicine, I am passionate about helping people achieve optimal health and wellness through personalized and holistic approaches. I am the founder and functional medicine nurse practitioner at IV ELEMENTS, where I specialize in high dose vitamin C and mistletoe therapy, Helleborus injections for dementia/Parkinson's, 10 pass/hyperbaric ozone for HSV and Lyme disease, and BR +NAD/NAD+ therapy for various conditions. I am also certified in functional medicine by The Institute for Functional Medicine and have a nutrition certification from Cornell University. I am motivated by the mission of IV ELEMENTS to provide safe, effective, and affordable IV therapy services to clients who seek natural and alternative solutions for their health challenges. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked in different settings and with different populations, from hospitalists to substance abuse patients. In my most recent role as a hospitalist at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, I assisted with hospital admissions, diagnostic testing, medication ordering, and discharge planning. I reduced hospital stay by reviewing charts and transitioning care properly and collaborating with the social work and case management team for a safe discharge. I also leveraged my skills in medical-surgical, nursing, and pediatrics to provide quality care to a variety of patients. Prior to that, I worked as a substance abuse nurse practitioner at START Treatment & Recovery Centers, where I conducted physical exams, documented rationale for dose changes, evaluated methadone treatment, educated clients on risk behaviors, and monitored pregnant patients. I also ordered, performed, and evaluated basic laboratory test results.
