I now work for Lloyds pharmacy OPD at the RCHT. I have just been promoted to branch manager and I am so excited to have been given this opportunity. I have been with the business for 4 years, I am also a pre-reg trainee pharmacy technician. Being with this company has helped widen my knowledge a great deal, I have learnt so much about all the different clinics and medications I never knew existed. I complete a variety number of tasks each day from typing, dispensing to ordering stock, owings, sourcing stock/order codes from other suppliers and adding this detail to the spreadsheet. I deal with queries on prescriptions and liaise with the consultants to try and find the best resolution for the patient. I complete the shrinkage spreadsheet for out of dates, damaged stock and make sure I know if necessary if these are to be charged to the clinic instead of the business. Since Covid alot of our patients have not been able to come in to collect their prescriptions, we now have a promise to pay invoice which gets sent to eligible patients, I have created a spreadsheet which I update on a daily basis of the patients these have been sent out to. The patients then contact the general office to take payment or exemption details. I then update the patients PMR and the spreadsheet with this information. I keep on top of the date checking, with a spreadsheet on when a section needs checking. The whole dispensary is checked every 3 months, they are marked and noted with anything in the next 6 months that go out of date. I then make a note of any high priced items. This then goes to other Lloyds OPD's to see if this is stock they can use, before it gets wasted off and goes out of date. It is also my responsibility to check off delivery, book in the delivery notes and also along with my manager, complete the invoicing. I also complete the KPI spreadsheet a couple of times a week and the weekly items form. My next goal with this company is to complete my pharmacy technician course. I worked for asda for 11 years, completed a number of roles whilw being with the company. I general shopfloor assistant, key colleague on health and beauty, I then moved onto homeshopping I become key colleague I organised the day, allocate the drivers to their deliveries, also the same with the colleagues I was always striving to be the best I could be with a pick speed of 200+ everyday. I also completed an nvq 3 in retail management. I started pharmacy busting, until a permanent job came up, I completed my counter assistant course, I also completed the pharmacy dispencer course.
