Mr Raman Dega is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery. Raman undertook his training at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, during which he worked under past presidents of the British Orthopaedic foot and ankle society, inspiring him to specialise in this area. Raman is well known for his minimally invasive ankle arthroscopy surgeries.Mr Dega is a reviewer for the Foot Journal and for the Bone and Joint Journal and has a keen interest in research, regularly publishing his work in medical journals. He is also a trainer for Orthopaedics and was a member of the Regional Oxford Orthopaedic Training Committee for ten years. He has previously held the position of Chairman of Medical Staff Committee and Clinical Lead for the Orthopaedics Department at Wexham Park Hospital NHS trust and is an elected member of the Scientific Committee for the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.Mr Dega is a member of The British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, The American Association of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, The Royal College of Surgeons and The British Orthopaedic Association.Mr Dega not only has a clinical interst in sports injuries, but is a keen sportsman himself.
