Dr Mohan Rathnaiah is an esteemed consultant psychiatrist in liaison and neuropsychiatry, who specialises in a variety of mental health illnesses, including psychosis, bipolar disorder, dementia and its diagnosis, depression, sleep disorders, adult ADHD and adult autism. He has expertise in managing conditions of neuropsychiatry including FND and has extensive experience in old age psychiatry including as Locum Consultant in the past. He has specialist experience with treating neuropsychiatry symptoms associated with common neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy and Multiple Sclerosis. He is one of the licensed prescriber for Medical Cannabis for the eligible patients. Dr Rathnaiah has extensive research experience. His studies have been published in the UK and in India, and have analysed the coredeficit in classical schizophrenia, stress in the workforce, and depression in new mothers. He is keen to pursue clinical research which directly benefits the quality of life of his patients. He was the main coordinator and medical lead for Nottingham’s SPRING (Study of psychosis and the role of inflammation and GABA /Glutamate) investigation. He is the current research lead for Derbyshire NHS trust and Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham
