Dr Prabhakaran Naveen is a highly-skilled Consultant Psychiatrist who provides expert assessment and management of mental disorders in adults of working age group. He is currently a visiting consultant at The Priory Wellbeing Centre in Bristol. Dr Naveens wealth of experience and knowledge ensures that every patient receives the highest standard of care possible.He completed his medical degree (MBBS) in 1997 at Calicut Medical College, and moved to England in 1999 to begin working in the NHS. He then completed postgraduate psychiatric training at Severn Deanery from April 2001- February 2005, during which time he also obtained Membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London (MRCPsych).Dr Naveen has extensive experience as a psychiatrist, and has worked in various roles from 2005 until present day, including stints as a specialty doctor, associate specialist and locum consultant psychiatrist. In 2013, Dr Naveen took on the role of consultant psychiatrist for the adult psychiatric inpatient unit in Bath - initially as a locum post which later became substantive. Since November of 2019, Dr. Naveen has been working as a consultant psychiatrist in the Primary Care Liaison Service (PCLS) in Bath. This is one of the access services for mental health referrals and provides an essential service to the community.He is dedicated to providing the best possible care for all patients, drawing on his years of experience and in-depth knowledge of adult psychiatry. Dr Naveen is always open to feedback from patients and their families, as it helps him continuously improve his practice.
