Professor Piers Daubeney is a nationally and internationally recognised Consultant Paediatric and Foetal Cardiologist based in London.Professor Daubeney completed his medical degree and initial medical training St Thomas Hospital, University of London and in Oxford, graduating in 1988. He subsequently completed his specialist training in paediatric cardiology in centres in Southampton, Melbourne in Australia and Toronto, Canada. He was first appointed as a Consultant Paediatric and Foetal Cardiologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in 1999. He later completed subspecialty training in Paediatric and Foetal Echocardiography.Professor Daubeney is known for his clinical expertise and was recommended as one of the Top 250 Private Doctors in the Tatler Guide as a testament to his clinical excellence.His clinical practice focuses on the care of infants, children and teenagers, as well as unborn children, with various types of heart disease.Professor Daubeneys expertise is recognised internationally. He has published over 50 scientific papers in his field of expertise, as well as authored numerous book chapters and has edited two books. He has also lectured around the world in his field of expertise.He has deep research interests in the causes and effects of heart disease in children and infants. He was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine from Oxford University in 2007 for his research and has a dedicated research team at The Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College Hospital London. He also founded the Congenital Heart Research Association UK (CHUKRA). He became an Honorary Reader at the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London in 2009.
