Dr. Bell is a specialist in Sport and Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. . He has extensive experience of managing High Performance, and recreational, athletes in numerous sports, including professional tennis, football, cricket and pre-professional ballet. He has looked after the players at the Wimbledon Championships for 20 years, and at the ATP's World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena since it came to London in 2009. He delivered an on-site service to pre-professional ballet dancers, from all over the world, at the Royal Ballet School, in Covent Garden, for over 8 years. He was a founder member of the Royal Ballet's Science and Medicine Advisory Group, which aims to optimise the health and performance of its dancers. He has been involved in the care of professional footballers at Wycombe Wanderers F.C, and, more recently, Derby County F.C., where he spent 8 years as a visiting consultant to the club, managing complex injuries, implementing injury prevention strategies, and optimising players sleep quality, mental health and wellbeing. He has toured S Africa, India and Pakistan as the England Cricket Team Doctor, and was a founder member of the ECB's Science and Medicine Advisory Group. He lectures locally, nationally and internationally on topics related to professional tennis, ballet, football and cricket, and has authored book chapters on the care of professional tennis players and cricketers. He has served as a Council Member for the the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM), the British Association of Sport and Exercise (BASEM) and the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine (BIMM). He is an examiner for the FSEM and Bath University.
