I am a leading consultant surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery and laparascopic (keyhole) procedures. I have over 25 years of experience and training in a wide range of procedures including treatment of bowel/rectal cancer, diagnostic laparoscopy, lap. cholecystectomy, lap. appendectomy, inguinal hernia repair, abdominal wall herniae, anal fissure and anal fistula management, and treatment of pelvic pain syndrome and benign colorectal diseases. I graduated from Charles University, Prague in 1990, i then moved to the UK 15 years ago with 12 years of experience at University Hospital in Prague where i had been in a position of leading bowel cancer surgeon. I was later appointed Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He now practises privately at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital and Spire Alexandra Hospital, and can conduct appointments in English, Slovakian, Czech or Russian.
