Dr Prouse is a Rheumatologist with extensive experience developed over 30 years as a Consultant. Dr Prouse qualified from the University of Melbourne in 1975. He undertook his Postgraduate training at Northwick Park Hospital, London and the Great Ormond Hospital for Sick Children developing wide experience in the management of both adults and children with inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders and osteoporosis. His MD thesis was in the field of Rheumatoid Arthritis on which he has published many articles and continues to be actively involved in research trials. Over recent years Dr Prouse has been the Honorary Secretary of the British Society for Rheumatology and is the past Chair for Rheumatology in the South Central Region of England. He was also a board member of the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance leading the development of recent publications setting standards for care for a number of rheumatic conditions including Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and Gout.
