I am a mental health nurse with a passion for patient safety and clinical governance. I love working with other clinicians and operational staff to create safer places for our patients to be treated and our staff to work. I feel passionately about quality improvement and learning when things go wrong. I love teaching, education, mentoring and sharing my knowledge and see it as my duty as a nurse to help those coming after me to succeed. I have a desire for life long learning and love challenging myself in both my professional and personal life. After completing my Masters Degree in Healthcare Leadership I have developed an addiction to Leadership books and am always reading and implementing new ideas in order to be the best leader I can be. I am experienced in policy management, risk management, audit, compliance, CQC preparedness, but am never happier than when I am working on quality improvement projects and using learning from a small incident to impact great changes within an organization.
