Taking my previous skills into an education role ( HE Lecturer) and looking to support and inspire others in the future of Healthcare in the UK. Occupational Therapist / Improvement specialist – Core belief in activity and achievement, listening and collaborative working, presentation at National Conference, Interview skills, management of team, performance, service delivery in an acute physical hospital setting. Understanding of human psychology and development – how human beings engage. I work in a fast paced, time critical work environment with the need for constant delivery. Understanding of medical (physical and psychiatric) conditions, their potential impact on an individual/ rehabilitation. Involvement in and planning of research, audit and thus treatment efficacy and efficiency. Business case preparation, report writing and medico-legal documents are part of my working life. ILM in Leadership & Management, ILM 3&5 Coaching qualifications. Skills include: Event management, delegation, project/ financial management, organising and chairing meetings, recruitment of volunteer staff, liaison with multiple outside and inside agencies, time management, risk assessment, dynamic change management. Analysis of coal face, project plans, communication strategy and implementation of change – keep and take people with me. Succession planning. Numerous scouting roles at local, county and national level. I am currently an Explorer Scout Leader (Young Leaders), supporting delivery of the modular training programme for around 80 14-18yr olds pa and District Appointments Advisory Chair; trustee responsibilities for safe recruitment, around 250 adults pa. Mentoring future leaders, in a National Scout Programme. Additional responsibilities in organising activities for no fewer than 3 county scout jamborees ( ave. attendance 4,000 people). #skillsforlife Annual community event organisation: Community Fair, Advent trail, fundraising stalls, etc.Parish Safeguarding Officer and Diocesan Safeguarding trainer – education and delivery, supporting volunteers, developing resources and delivering communication. Supporting individuals under rehabilitation of offender’s process and victims of abuse. Excellent listening skills. I see myself as a Team player, leader, motivator, chair of groups/ multiple meetings- organising, documenting, communicating. Creating resources, supporting, recruiting, changing and challenging processes. Rewarding and thanking individuals for their amazing employed/ voluntary/ skilful and financial contributions.
