On occasion, Doctors at Treasure Coast Podiatry have performed pro bono surgery for hospitalized members of our community suffering from life or limb threatening pathology subsequent to severe diabetic infection or vascular disease. As a Board Certified Surgeon, my fundamental tenet is based upon the premise that most elective surgery procedures are unnecessary. Many foot deformities and disorders can be managed via conservative stratagems such as change in shoe gear, medications, orthotic devices, and certain lifestyle modifications.
