Frist degree in Medicine was in University of Dublin 1984, and trained to Registrar level till 1989, when I moved to the Specialist Training program in University College Hospital London. I was appointed Consultant haematologist in 1996 in Basildon Hospital, and transferred as head of dept to Southend Hospital in 2010 which remains my main employment. I became Clinical Director for Diagnostic and Therapeutic in Southend Hospital in 2015 and continued in this role till April 2018. I have a broad experience in all things haematological, but particular interests in lymphoma and myeloma. I am a strong believer in listening to my patients, and advising treatments tailored to their needs. My research interests are in lymphoma, and I have a strong interest in developing biopsy devices - for bone marrow and lymph nodes.
