I am a pharmacist with over 38 years of experience across most sectors of the NHS: SHA/HA/PCT, community services, primary care, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, independent sector (Virgin Care), training non-medical prescribers. My work at NHS Digital (since 2009 part-time) has been involved with the analysis and use of medicines/prescribing data from both primary and secondary care. Joined NHSD full-time in February 2018 to work within a programme of work to improve the medicines data available to the NHS and other users. Currently working 3 days per week for NHS Digital having recently "retired and returned" (August 2021). Continuing to contribute to a number of programmes • Collection of data on prescribing and medicine administration from EPMA systems • Linking NHSBSA dispensed medicines data other patient level data sets e.g. HES, maternity data exploring medication safety issues including the use of anti-seizure medicines in pregnancy.
